Milt Cheever is a Partner of Cheever Capital Management, LLC, a venture capital operating company, which serves as the General Partner for The Talents Venture Funds and The Talents Isotopes Funds Limited Partnerships. Milt has a diverse professional background with over 40 years of executive management experience. He began his finance and banking career in 1968, and was manager of several financial institution branch offices. Milt also served as vice president of Home Federal Savings and Loan, in Albany, Oregon, where his primary responsibilities were commercial loan origination, underwriting loan approval, and secondary marketing. Milt then established his own commercial real estate finance and development company in 1981 and has since facilitated many entrepreneurial efforts, limited partnerships, and managed several multi-million dollar private securities offerings. He financed and developed professional office parks, nursing homes, and medical facilities for physician and dental groups, nationally franchised hotels and restaurants, residential subdivisions and planned unit developments. He also taught real estate finance courses at two Oregon colleges. Milt also owned and operated Cheever Mortgage Company, an Albany, Oregon mortgage brokerage from 1994 to 2009. Milt has served as president of several national and state professional associations. From 2000 to 2005, Milt served as chairman of the Legislative Committee of the Oregon Association of Mortgage Professionals, initiating important new legislation that was successfully passed into laws now regulating the industry. From 2003 to 2008, Milt served as chairman, president, and executive board member of the Western Regional Mortgage Lenders Conference, comprised of twenty-four board members. Milt currently serves on the executive boards of two privately held portfolio companies. Milt has also co-founded several technology businesses and currently serves as a Managing Director. Milt has also served on the executive board of several non-profit charitable organizations.
